Our goal is to help them bring innovative projects into their classrooms through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.srpnet.com\/es\/acerca\/apoyo-comunidad\/apoyo-educadores\/becas-escolares\">classroom grants program<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe are dedicated to our education programs and to providing Arizona teachers with the tools they need to bring STEM learning back to their K\u201312 classrooms.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<cite>Chelsey Falk, Community Activation Lead, SRP&nbsp;<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, SRP contributes more than $2.1 million to education initiatives annually. This includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.srpnet.com\/es\/acerca\/apoyo-comunidad\/apoyo-educadores\/touchdowns-para-maestros\">\u00a1El programa SRP Touchdowns para Maestros\u2122<\/a>, teacher grants and funding through partnerships throughout the state.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-4-6-8-let-us-help-you-innovate\">2-4-6-8, let us help you innovate! <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Classroom grants have been used in a variety of ways, from everyday necessities to out-of-this-world projects.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In past years, we have seen educators use the funding to purchase advanced technology, including VR kits that allow students to virtually visit real-life locations such as the International Space Station and ancient Rome. Other teachers have purchased 3D printers, STEM kits and programming robotics kits.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See <a href=\"https:\/\/srpnet.com\/education\/grants\/ssrecipients.aspx\">a list of winners from previous years<\/a> and how they used their grants.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These resources are often used to benefit students year after year. The resourcefulness of teachers knows no bounds!&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"applying-for-an-srp-classroom-connections-grant\">Applying for an SRP classroom grant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Curious about how you or a teacher you know can apply for a grant? Use the information below as your guide.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"classroom-connections-grant-applications-must-be\">Classroom grant applications must be:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For public and nonprofit private schools in metropolitan Phoenix, Pinal County, Gila County, Yavapai County, Page and St. Johns chapters.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completed by certified teachers.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For STEM-related projects (up to $5,000 awarded), history or social science projects (up to $2,500 awarded).\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Used for hands-on materials.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tips-for-winning-a-grant\">Tips for winning a grant:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Projects should include materials for hands-on, STEM-related lessons.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Addressing how three-dimensional science practices will be used will positively affect your chances.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funding for field trips will not be considered.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focus on materials students will use to enhance their learning.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The more students positively impacted by using the materials, the more likely you are to have your application selected for funding.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The longer the materials are used, the more likely you are to be chosen.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Access free resources for teachers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are a select amount of grants given, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.srpnet.com\/about\/community-support\/educator-support\/teacher-training-workshops\">SRP\u2019s free workshops for professional development<\/a> are open to any K\u201312 educators in SRP\u2019s service and impact areas.
