COVID-19 updates for SRP customers

(Updated: Oct. 1, 2020) To help protect our customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, SRP began pausing service disconnections and waiving late payment fees in March. However, on Oct. 1, SRP resumed its standard payment policies, including disconnects for non-payment. 

SRP will continue to pause disconnects and late payment fees for customers on the Economy Price Plan until early January. 

Many customers with a past-due balance have been put on a payment plan that will allow them to pay off their balance over time. If you have a payment plan, you can find details about your plan on your bill. Learn how to read your bill.

We recognize that many of our customers continue to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  

If you are having a hard time paying your bill for any reason, please call (602) 236-8888 as soon as possible. We have programs and resources that may help you. We can also connect you with community agencies that may be able to provide financial help for your utility bills as well as housing costs.

See if you qualify for federal funds to pay your energy bill

The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps income-qualified households pay their energy bills. Call (602) 236-8888 today to speak with a resource counselor to see if you qualify.

What does this mean for M-Power customers?

Just like customers who receive a monthly bill, M-Power customers are being returned to normal business practices.

Don’t fall victim to a scam

Unfortunately, in times like these, scammers are targeting our customers. Here are ways to spot a scam.

Remember, SRP will never:

  • Call you to threaten disconnection within an hour 
  • Demand immediate payment with a prepaid card 
  • Show up at your home and request access indoors 
  • Ask for sensitive data through email or over the phone 

Helping each other

Some customers have asked how they can help others during this time. Those interested in helping those in need can partner with us and the Salvation Army through SHARE: Service to Help Arizonans with Relief on Energy.  

For every dollar donated to SHARE, SRP will make a matching donation. SRP donates a minimum of $500,000 per year to the SRP Bill Assistance program. This program helps limited-income customers pay their energy bills. Together, we can make twice the difference.
