Each year, SRP provides more than $200,000 in direct funding to teachers. Our goal is to help them bring innovative projects into their classrooms through the classroom grants program.
“We are dedicated to our education programs and to providing Arizona teachers with the tools they need to bring STEM learning back to their K–12 classrooms.”
Chelsey Falk, Community Activation Lead, SRP
In total, SRP contributes more than $2.1 million to education initiatives annually. This includes SRP Touchdowns for Teachers™, teacher grants and funding through partnerships throughout the state.
2-4-6-8, let us help you innovate!
Classroom grants have been used in a variety of ways, from everyday necessities to out-of-this-world projects.
In past years, we have seen educators use the funding to purchase advanced technology, including VR kits that allow students to virtually visit real-life locations such as the International Space Station and ancient Rome. Other teachers have purchased 3D printers, STEM kits and programming robotics kits.

These resources are often used to benefit students year after year. The resourcefulness of teachers knows no bounds!
Applying for an SRP classroom grant
Curious about how you or a teacher you know can apply for a grant? Use the information below as your guide.
Classroom grant applications must be:
- For public and nonprofit private schools in metropolitan Phoenix, Pinal County, Gila County, Yavapai County, Page and St. Johns chapters.
- Completed by certified teachers.
- For STEM-related projects (up to $5,000 awarded), history or social science projects (up to $2,500 awarded).
- Used for hands-on materials.
Tips for winning a grant:
- Projects should include materials for hands-on, STEM-related lessons.
- Addressing how three-dimensional science practices will be used will positively affect your chances.
- Funding for field trips will not be considered.
- Focus on materials students will use to enhance their learning.
- The more students positively impacted by using the materials, the more likely you are to have your application selected for funding.
- The longer the materials are used, the more likely you are to be chosen.
Access free resources for teachers
There are a select amount of grants given, but SRP’s free workshops for professional development are open to any K–12 educators in SRP’s service and impact areas. In addition to these grants, SRP also offers a variety of professional development and resources at no cost for teachers.
Sorry! These are during school hours. Thanks, maybe next time.
