Find the best price plan for you
Step 1: Confirm which price plan you currently have.
You can easily check which price plan you’re on by logging in to your SRP My Account™through our website or mobile app.
Step 2: Compare price plans
SRP has three main types of price plans:
- Basic: Electricity kilowatt-hours (kWh) cost the same all the time. There are no on- or off-peak hours.
- SRP M-Power®: Prepaid, pay-as-you-go solution for budget-minded customers.
- Time-of-Day: Save on your electric bill by planning to use most of your energy during off-peak hours.
- SRP Time-of-Use Price Plan™ (TOU): Offers even bigger savings when you limit your energy use during on-peak hours on weekdays. Peak hours change seasonally.
- Residential Demand: Your biggest chance to save. Limit weekday energy usage during on-peak hours and avoid using major appliances at the same time.
- SRP Electric Vehicle Price Plan™: Super off-peak hours for charging electric vehicles overnight.
- SRP EZ-3 Price Plan™ (EZ-3): Higher-cost on-peak hours for only three hours on weekdays.
You might be wondering, “What’s the difference between TOU and EZ-3? Why have six to eight on-peak hours versus three?”
The differences between the two plans are the peak hour schedules and the price per kWh. While EZ-3 only has a three-hour on-peak window, TOU offers more savings per kWh for customers who are able to avoid high energy use during the longer on-peak window.
Every household runs differently. For some, it is more cost-effective if they are able to lower energy usage during on-peak hours on the TOU price plan, while others might find better savings on the EZ-3 price plan and how it aligns to their schedule.
To help prevent strain on the power grid, our price plans are designed to encourage customers to lower their energy usage during higher-cost hours. The higher the demand for energy, the more expensive it is to generate.

The right price plan for your lifestyle
Let’s take a closer look at each price plan type and the energy use habits that can help you save on your bill.
Basic Price Plan
On the SRP Basic Price Plan, the price per kWh is always the same no matter when you use electricity.
The basic price plan is for you if:
- Your home is small to average in size
- You do not use a lot of energy
- You cannot shift your energy usage
- You live in a home only part time
- One person resides in the home
We recommend that you consider another price plan if your home’s energy use has increased or you have a pool.
SRP M-Power
With the SRP M-Power prepaid price plan, customers are offered a pay-as-you-go solution that allows them to choose when, where, and how often to pay for energy before using it.
This plan is best for customers who:
- Want to prepay for energy as they use it
- Are budget-focused
- Want more control over their energy consumption
Time-of-Use
The SRP Time-of-Use Price Plan offers lower energy prices to customers who can shift their energy use to off-peak hours. On-peak hours are from 2–8 p.m. May through October and from 5–9 a.m. and 5–9 p.m. November through April. Customers on this price plan will pay lower prices during all other hours, including weekends and six observed holidays.
TOU is ideal for customers who:
- Can use major appliances before or after higher-cost on-peak hours
- Have an average to large-size home
- Have a pool
Residential Demand
On the SRP Residential Demand Price Plan Pilot, customers can save by committing to use major appliances one at a time or during off-peak hours.
This is different from the TOU plan in a handful of ways:
- Energy pricing on this plan is about half the rate of the TOU plan.
- This plan offers a cost incentive to keeping a household’s on-peak demand low with tiered kW pricing.
- TOU customers’ monthly service plans’ charge is $20 whereas for residential demand customers, it is $32.44. This is because TOU customers pay a higher energy charge.
This plan is ideal for customers who:
- Want demand-based pricing
- Can use major appliances before or after higher-cost on-peak hours
- Have an average to large-size home
SRP Electric Vehicle Price Plan
With the Electric Vehicle (EV) Export Price Plan, customers who generate their own solar energy and own or lease an EV can shift their use and save on the energy they buy from SRP.
The EV export price plan is best for customers who:
- Have a fully electric home
- Use their AC and heater frequently and during on-peak hours
- Have a tankless electric water heater
- Have an electric vehicle that charges daily during super off-peak hours (11 p.m.–5 a.m.)
EZ-3 Price Plan
On the SRP EZ-3 Price Plan, customers can choose on-peak hours of either 3–6 p.m. or 4–7 p.m. Customers on this plan will pay lower-cost off-peak prices during all other hours, including weekends and six observed holidays.
This plan is ideal for customers who:
- Can plan to reduce using power for three on-peak hours each weekday
- Have an average to large-size home
- Have a pool
- Can precool their home
