Helpful resources in times of need

We know how important it is for our customers to have power. We care about everyone’s safety and well-being. That’s why we have flexible payment plan options, programs and resources for SRP customers in place to help in times of need.    

1. Save $23 per month with the Economy Price Plan. 

Especially in the summer, energy can be a big expense. That’s even more true for a household on a tight budget. If this is true for you, you should know about the Economy Price Plan

Each month, customers with limited incomes can get $23 applied to their SRP electric bills. You could save $276 a year on your SRP bill.  

Depending on how many people live in your home and how much everyone earns, you may qualify for this monthly discount. See if you qualify.   

2. Get help from our 24/7 customer service team. 

SRP’s customer service team is here for you 24/7. They can work with you to set up a payment plan that fits your needs.  For those in need of help, they can connect you with a resource counselor.   

Money to help cover your energy bill and more 

Our resource counselors work closely with community agencies to provide financial help with utility costs and other critical needs. This can include things like: 

  • Food 
  • Medical care 
  • Clothing 
  • Shelter

3. Sign up a friend or family member to receive overdue bill alerts. 

If your electric bill becomes past due, SRP can reach out to someone you trust (even if they live in another city or state). The SRP Safety Net program helps to protect against power shutoffs by keeping a friend or family member informed.

4. Stay on top of your account with helpful alerts.  

Managing your account is easier with text or email alerts. Sign up today and get notified when:   

  • A bill is available   
  • Payment has been received   
  • Payment is due soon  
  • A bill becomes past due   
  • A weekly bill projection is available   
  • Your monthly bill may exceed a set budget   
  • Your usage is higher than usual  

Signing up for alerts is easy. Simply update your contact information in SRP My Account™. You can also sign up family members or friends for account alerts. Just look for the “Alerts” option in the “My Profile & Settings” tab.

In addition to SRP’s community agency partnerships, there are other resources available to help you lower your energy bills, avoid future debt and prevent service disconnection. Read on to learn more.  

Weatherization Assistance  

Eligible limited-income homeowners can receive assistance to make energy-efficient upgrades to their homes to help reduce energy costs, including:  

  • Insulation  
  • Window shading  
  • Low-flow showerheads  
  • Faucet aerators  
  • Space heating and cooling system equipment maintenance and tuneups  
  • And more

Helping each other

Some customers have asked how they can help others during this time. Those interested in helping those in need can partner with us and the Salvation Army through SHARE: Service to Help Arizonans with Relief on Energy.   

For every dollar donated to SHARE, SRP will make a matching donation. SRP donates a minimum of $500,000 per year to the SRP Bill Assistance Program. This program helps qualified limited-income customers pay their energy bills. Together, we can make twice the difference.
