As a community-based, not-for-profit organization providing affordable water and power to more than 2 million people in central Arizona, we are focused on supporting ways to help our employees and customers thrive. Throughout the year, we partner with our customers on causes that help reforest northern Arizona, give solar installations to local nonprofits and help limited-income customers pay their energy bills. Each of these programs works by customers adding a small monthly donation to their bill. We then match those donations to make twice the difference.
Starting at just $1 per month, here are three easy ways for SRP customers to give back to their communities throughout the year.
Protect our forests
Help reforest Arizona for as little as $3 per month with the SRP Healthy Forest Initiative™.
Wildfires have destroyed millions of acres of Arizona’s national forests — lands critical to our air, water supply and quality of life. For as little as $3 a month, you can help revitalize our forests and protect the water you drink. In partnership with the National Forest Foundation, the SRP Healthy Forest Initiative uses 100% of customer contributions for forest projects and matches every dollar up to $200,000 per year.

Help neighbors pay their bills
Help those in need through Project SHARE (Service to Help Arizonans with Relief on Energy), an SRP program that allows us to help our neighbors.
In times of crisis, our neighbors may need help paying their electric bills. SRP partners with the Salvation Army and our customers to provide energy assistance to those in need through Project SHARE. For every dollar you contribute to SHARE, SRP will make a matching contribution — a minimum of $500,000 per year — to the SRP Bill Assistance Program, which helps limited-income customers pay their energy bills.

Give the gift of renewable energy to Valley nonprofits
As part of our commitment to both renewable energy and the communities we serve, SRP Solar for Nonprofits™ does exactly what the name says: builds solar projects for Valley nonprofits. With the help of solar installations offsetting electricity costs, this program enables nonprofits such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley, A New Leaf, the Arizona Humane Society and the Child Crisis Center to reduce operational costs, which means more money can go toward their important missions. Since 2007, SRP and our customers have helped local nonprofits save more than $1 million with free solar energy systems.
